Rega Planar 6 Turntable – ND5 Cartridge

The Planar 6 is built around the huge success of the RP8 and RP10 turntables. It is the first new Rega turntable to be constructed with an ultra lightweight Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core plinth (a material developed for the aerospace industry). This material is sandwiched between a new HPL (high-pressure laminate). HPL is exceptionally thin whilst extremely rigid and is presented in a stunning Polaris matt grey finished with high gloss polymer black edge trim.

The Rega Planar 6 ND5 is a high-performance turntable designed for those who demand exceptional detail and clarity from their vinyl records. Featuring the Neo power supply with DSP-generated speed control, this turntable ensures precise and stable playback. The Tancast 8 foam-core plinth, a lightweight yet rigid material developed for aerospace applications, minimizes unwanted vibrations, resulting in a purer audio signal. Rega’s RB330 tonearm, fitted with a stainless-steel balance weight, provides superior tracking and reduces distortion for an immersive listening experience.

The Planar 6 ND5 comes factory-fitted with the Nd5 Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge, known for its outstanding detail retrieval and dynamic range. Its custom dual-layer smoked/clear float glass platter enhances rotational stability, ensuring accurate playback. Completing the package, the EBLT Reference drive belt delivers optimal performance by reducing speed variations. The turntable is finished in a sleek Polaris grey or white matt finish, making it a stylish and high-fidelity addition to any setup.
