Rega Planar 6 Turntable – ND7 Cartridge

The Planar 6 is built around the huge success of the RP8 and RP10 turntables. It is the first new Rega turntable to be constructed with an ultra lightweight Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core plinth (a material developed for the aerospace industry). This material is sandwiched between a new HPL (high-pressure laminate). HPL is exceptionally thin whilst extremely rigid and is presented in a stunning Polaris matt grey finished with high gloss polymer black edge trim.

The Rega Planar 6 ND7 builds upon the success of its predecessor, incorporating refinements for an even more precise and detailed listening experience. With its Neo power supply and DSP-generated speed control, this turntable ensures consistent rotational speed, reducing wow and flutter for exceptional clarity. The Tancast 8 foam-core plinth combined with double brace technology enhances rigidity, minimizing unwanted resonance while maintaining a lightweight and elegant design. The RB330 tonearm, engineered with precision bearings, provides optimal tracking with minimal friction.

The ND7 model comes fitted with the Nd7 MM cartridge, which features a fine-line nude diamond stylus for superior detail retrieval, enhanced tracking, and natural tonal balance. Its custom dual-layer float glass platter maintains excellent rotational inertia, reducing speed fluctuations for accurate playback. With EBLT Reference drive belts, the Planar 6 ND7 ensures superior belt performance, further improving timing accuracy. Finished in Polaris grey or white matt, this turntable is perfect for audiophiles seeking exceptional musicality and dynamic performance.
